‘Sir Lukes’ thinking outside the box?

From Dr Daniel Diemers.

Sir, The unexpected and tragic death of Martin Lukes (Business Life, September 23) is seriously spoiling my Thursday’s reading of the FT, and my mood. To lose the leading “human mind bullet” and creative/critical thinker in such a way is unacceptable.

From afar, I hope the concerned authorities are making every effort to investigate this tragic accident that leaves the global business community in shock. I also hope the responsible skydiving operator is facing a lawsuit that puts them out of business.

On the other hand, one part of me is still wondering whether Sir Lukes (indeed, I’m already using his new title as I have no doubts whatsoever that he is top of the list for nobility post mortem) may have engineered the whole incident cleverly to draw a line under his somewhat tiring personal life, rejuvenate himself at a remote retreat and will soon return to us unexpectedly and in full vigour, maybe from Brazil or India?

The current degree of factual accuracy surrounding his “death” leaves me speculating if we are not all following just another out-of-the-box intervention by our thought leader and genius.
